As part of our ongoing Fire and Emergency preparedness plan, staff successfully completed a vertical evacuation drill of the Home on September 29th. These drills ensure that our team is well-prepared and confident in responding effectively during a real emergency.
Students from the local Personal Support Worker (PSW) program participated as resident proxies to simulate a full evacuation. During the drill, staff practiced safely evacuating individuals down the stairwell using both the mummy wrap and Stryker evacuation chair.
We’re proud of our team’s commitment to safety and readiness.
